Alicante Council taxes
As always between the end of July and the beginning of October, you will have to pay the annual council taxes. Council taxes is called IBI in Spanish, this in the whole Alicante County Area, except Javea and Alicante city these have different dates. In the county of Alicante this is done by the company called SUMA.
For the payment of the IBI, the SUMA office around the 10th of September 2018 will charge with a direct debit the council taxes from your Spanish bank account.
In the case that in about 10 days after the 10th of September 2018, you do not see the SUMA or IBI charge on your bank account for the council taxes, called IBI in Spanish. Please get in touch with us urgently so that we can take action on this and arrange payment.
The final date for payment of the IBI this year is the 5th of October 2018, so if you do not see the charge of the IBI on your account, let us know before the end of September to avoid getting a fine from SUMA.
Murcia Council taxes.
For the Murcia area the tax dates payment to be taken by direct debit:
- Los Alcazares 05/09/2018
- Mazarron 05/10/2018
- Mula, Fuente Alamo, Fortuna & La Union 22/10/2018
- San Pedro del Pinatar 20/08/2018
- TorrePacheco 02/07/2018 and 02/11/2018
- San Javier 21/04/2018 and 22/10/2018
Off course exact dates can vary due to your bank, as not all debits are processed inmediately by all banks. Also some town-halls in the Murcia Area have specific rules and dates for payment plans that you might have subscribed to, so that payment dates may vary in that case.
General rule is if within 10 days after the dates mentioned, you have not had the debit shown on your bank or paid the receipt yourself at the bank, contact us so that we can look into it.
