Council taxes 2014 Alicante area
The council taxes 2014 are to be paid for the Alicante area. The voluntary payment is until the beginning of October 2014, after that the SUMA will charge interest for late payment.
The council taxes are a compulsory annual payment, taxes for the Town-hall. Not to be confused with the annual non resident taxes or the community fees. In the Alicante area to be paid between August and October. In the Alicante the company SUMA takes care of the council tax payments for the town-halls.
In the Murcia area the taxes are being paid to the town-hall, the payment dates vary, but in most cases the voluntary payment term ends in September. If by September you do not have the council tax payment on your bank account, contact us to solve this matter.
For those who have the council taxes on direct debit by SUMA, they will see the charge on their bank account between the 1oth and 15th of September. If by that time you have no SUMA charge for the Council taxes 2014 on your bank account, IBI in Spanish, on your bank account, please contact us so that we can look into this for you.

Not paying the council taxes on time results in paying interest and/or fines over the late payment. Not paying council-taxes for a few years will result in SUMA starting a repossession process on your property and/or freezing your bank account.
