The Income Tax Season 2025 Is Here – Let’s Get Started!
The Income Tax Campaign 2026 (for the 2025 tax year) is officially underway! It’s that time of year again when we review everything and make sure your tax return is done correctly and stress-free.
Bear in mind, this income tax declaration is only for residents in Spain, living in Spain in 2025 for more then 183 days!
Important Dates to Keep in Mind
- April 2, 2025 – Online filing opens (for cases with retention in Spain for the first week)
- June 25, 2025 – Deadline for returns with direct debit payment (after that date only payment in full at the bank is possible)
- June 30, 2025 – Final deadline to submit your tax return
Do You Need to File?
If you’ve had income during 2025 (salary, self-employment, rental income, investments, etc.), you may need to submit a tax return. Be aware that as resident in Spain, you declare your WorldWide income in Spain!

A Few Tips
- Take a moment to review your tax data carefully
- Make sure you’re not missing any deductions or benefits
- Let us know if anything changed last year (new job, property, investments…)
- Keep inmind that the tax year in Spain is from 1 of January to 31 of December, so deliver us the figures for exactly this period, even if in your country the dates of the tax year vary.
- Note all income in Euro, if you need to convert from another currency, here is the link to the 31/12/2025 official rates.
